I arrived Perth Airport and took the city bus to the centre. I visited Perth 2 years ago and always wanted to go back. It’s a lovely city and one of the many things I love about it is the free city bus. I took it to Richardson where the nearest bus stop is 100 metres away. That is the cheapest way getting from Perth Airport to The Richardson, but majority of guest will have a different budget than me so let’s get back to the hotel.
I arrived in the lobby in the morning and waited in their small lounge area until the room became ready. I stayed in a Deluxe Room and it had a nice modern design like the rest of the hotel. It had kitchen, bed, dining table and a strong residential feel to it. The design was nothing special and actually quite similar to what you would find in a Marriott or Hilton. That would be my only complain about an otherwise nice suite. A complain for business travellers would be that there wasn’t any working desk in a room. A must for every city hotel in my opinion.
Australia is not famous for extraordinary service and The Richardson didn’t change that for me. The staff were very good, but the service was far from the best hotels as expected. The Richardson instead have world class facilities with a lovely indoor pool.
The breakfast was very good with both buffet and ala carte choices. The service was very good there as well and it was nice to finish my stay with a smile.
Overall a really great experience. The Richardson works in all areas and is a very pleasant experience. The value isn’t the best as the rates is extremly high, but keep in mind that this is by far the best place to stay in the lovely city of Perth.
My opinion: Great experience.
