The Regent Beijing

Regent is one of the smaller luxurious brands. Four Seasons manage two of their hotels, and all the others look great. After a great experience with the brand in Zagreb, I went to The Regent Beijing with expectations of a good experience. I arrived at the hotel and was able to get upgraded to a Premier Room. The room was nice and comfortable, but nothing special for the luxurious traveller.

I liked the complimentary broadband internet in room, although it was unstable. The concierge was good, but the overall service level in the hotel wasn’t as good as I hoped. Compared to other Chinese top hotels the staff desperately needs better English and a bit more professionalism. The facilities were OK. I didn’t have breakfast included so I can’t comment on the food, but overall a safe choice in Beijing although it’s far from the best.

My opinion: Good experience.
