The Greenwich Hotel

The Greenwich Hotel opened in 2008 and immediately received excellent reviews and attention as Robert de Niro are one of the four owners. The succes was followed by an inclusion in Condé Nast Travelers Hot List and a membership of The Leading Hotels of the World.

My experience started with a warm and personal welcome at the front disk and had a chat before being escorted to the room. The Greenwich have 88 rooms, of which no two are the same. I stayed in a Fireplace Corner Suite and everything exceeded my expectations. An incredible attention to details and a design. The minibar was complimentary and even had snacks. A bottle of wine and a handwritten welcome letter was on the table and everything was set for a memorable experience.

The service exceeded my expectations. With 88 rooms I did expect personalized service and I got it. Service is the most important thing in a hotel experience and finding the best staff is a challenge. The Greenwich would without a doubt be one of the most exciting hotels to work for and I’m sure that makes a difference. They can choose the very best staff and that was easy to see. Really excellent.

I had dinner in the coutyard which is reserved for hotel guests and I had another lovely experience. Very good food combined with great staff. As said many times before finding the right staff is an art and Greenwich did that to perfection.

The facilities was an experience in itself. The most beautiful swimming pool I’ve ever seen. Design with materials imported from Japan made it look like the most inviting place in New York.

Overall one of my favorite hotels in the world. They have found outstanding staff and created an incredible atmosphere. This hotel is the reason I travel. To find unique experinces.

My opinion: Favorite experience.
