Introduction: A luxury, five-star Mayfair hotel with 73 rooms, of which 23 are studios and suites.
The Beaumont is superbly located on a quiet garden square, close to the luxury shops, galleries and museums of Mayfair, St James’s and the West End. Grand in style yet intimate and welcoming, its design is inspired by the great Art Deco hotels of the 1920s.
The Beaumont is the first hotel from Corbin & King, the highly regarded restaurateurs behind The Wolseley, The Delaunay and a number of other leading restaurants in the capital.
In the short time since opening, Condé Nast Traveller (UK) placed The Beaumont on its annual Hot List – “Check in here for timeless, old-world elegance with a wicked edge”, as did Condé Nast Traveler USA, calling it an “Urban Standout” and “A new London classic”; Forbes Life lauded it as “One of the hottest hotel openings in London in 2014”; Luxury Travel Intelligence in 2015 called it their “favourite boutique hotel in London” and at the end of 2015 Condé Nast Traveler USA placed the hotel on its Annual Gold List of its editors’ favourite hotels in the world.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My Arrival Experience: Warm welcome from the kind staff followed by an introduction to the room and a tour of the hotel.
What I loved: The entire experience. It’s hard to fault anything here which is very rare and why I rank it so highly.
What About the Food: The food is good, without being on Michelin level. That would perhaps be one step towards perfection if the hotel had a Michelin-starred restaurant. The breakfast is a la carte which I much prefer to a buffet.
What About the Service: Professional service from the well-trained staff. Great, friendly attitude and something different from your average 5-star hotel. They care about their guest and take very well care of them.
What About the Rooms: Beautiful, contemporary rooms. I stayed in a suite with comfortable bed, large complimentary mini-bar and a stunning bathroom with D R Harris products and a separate bathtub that even had bath salt.
Number of Rooms: 73.
Type of Property: City hotel.
Location: London, United Kingdom.
Facilities: Spa, gym and business/meeting facilities.
Complimentary Internet: Yes and fast.
My Overall Impression: Fantastic experience. My new favourite hotel in London. The design, service and attention to details are all very impressive.
