Park Hyatt Baku

Park Hyatt is the Hyatt groups upper-ultra luxury brand with world class hotels around the world. One of them is Park Hyatt Baku which has 159 rooms and built back in 1999 with Hyatt Regency next door.

The arrival experience was very nice with a warm welcome, but I didn’t receive an escort to the room as expected in a Park Hyatt. I stayed in a standard Park Room which was comfortable, but not up to the standards of Park Hyatt. I’ve had some fantastic experiences with the brand in Shanghai and Buenos Aires, while this property felt a lot like their property in Colorado. Tired in parts, but with impressive details to make it up.

The service worked very well in Park Hyatt Baku and I was especially impressed with the service on the phone. Always Mr. Last Name and formal as you would expect in a business hotel, but most business hotels don’t get it right. The bed was soft and comfortable and the shower was separate from the bathtub.

To sum up, it’s a business hotel that works with some impressive details, but needs a full renovation to feel like a great Park Hyatt.

My opinion: Good+ experience.

Visa on arrival is possible at Baku International Airport with an Electronic Visa. Victory Tour is highly recommended.
