Lemuria Resort

Lemuria Resort is a member of Relais&Chateaux and was the first high end hotel in the island of Seychelles. I generally loves Relais&Chateaux as their very rarely disappoints and with rates starting from 700 Euros I was excited to see the level of Lemuria. I arrived in the afternoon and received a warm welcome before I was escorted to the room. I stayed in a Junior Suite and it was nothing special, but a comfortable room to stay in. I was updated with flatscreen Tv and had nice welcome amenities, but with the high rates in mind I had expected more of the room.

The most important thing in a hotel is always the service and Lemuria didn’t disappoint. Very friendly local staffs combined with professional foreigners. The rates is definitely expensive, but Seychelles is one of the world’s most spectacular places and it’s worth to pay extra for a great place to stay. The property is huge and is fantastic for golfers, but the other facilities could need an update.

Overall a great Relais&Chateaux experience. It’s too big to be a real Relais&Chateaux in my opinion and the junior suites is nothing special. The service level and surroundings makes it up and it’s overall a great resort to check out.
