Jumeirah is the hotel chain behind the world’s most famous hotel, The Burj Al Arab in Dubai. After a great experience in that hotel and Jumeirah Dhevanafushi in The Maldives, I arrived very excited to see how great their new Azerbaijan property could be.
I arrived in the afternoon to a very Burj Al Arab- a like experience. Warm welcome from several staff, a welcome drink and in-room check in. I stayed in a beautiful Deluxe Balcony King Room with very comfortable bed, free standing bathtub, rain shower and complimentary internet. The only thing to the negative note would be that wifi isn’t working in the room yet, but keep in mind the hotel just recently opened.
Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel has 176 rooms total and is located 30 minute from the city centre of Baku. The staff is a mix of locals and experienced foreigners. The occupancy was low while I stayed there, but the service was generally very good. A little more attention to detail in the restaurant would perhaps be one thing to improve, but besides that everything was already at a high level. It’s not at a Burj Al Arab level, but the rate difference is probably 90%. The opening rates of Jumeirah Bilgah Beach is excellent value for money and if you manage to get a visa for Azerbaijan a truly great experience awaits.
The food was another positive experience. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was all very impressive and had a high quality. Including the important American beef I would highly recommend for dinner. The talise spa facilities was truly impressive as well as meeting facilities for business travelers.
Overall a truly great experience and surely the best in Azerbaijan. I was very impressed with the entire experience and Jumeirah surely knows how to create world class experiences.
My opinion: Great+ experience.
