The welcome was very nice and I had a nice welcome drink before being escorted to the room. I stayed in a junior suite and it had a nice modern design like the rest of the hotel. From outside Naoura Barriere looks like a very Moroccan hotel, but the design everywhere in the hotel could have been anywhere in the world and is a shame in my opinion. The six other hotels I stayed in Marrakesh had lots of local touches, but if you’re not looking for that Naoura Barriere is a good choice. The service was good. Some staff were great, but most staff spoke very limited English and that is a huge problem. The hotel is not very intimate as most hotels in Marrakesh, but with under 100 rooms it will not feel like a zoo like some big hotels does. The food is resonnabile priced and OK. The facilities is very good and what you would expect from a Leading Hotel of the World.
Overall a safe choice for a hotel in Marrakesh, but it feels more like you’re in Paris than in Marrakech.
My opinion: Good experience.
