D’Angleterre’s membership of LHW also gives them problems as members of LHW gets late check out. That was the main reason why I had to wait until 4 PM for my check in. D’angleterre only have 6 suites so I stayed in a deluxe room and it had many nice details, but could need an update in some areas. The carpet looked old and there was no separate shower from the bathtub. The room had a lot of complimentary chocolates which was a nice touch. The internet was complimentary, but was always slow and is another thing D’Angleterre have to look at.
What makes D’Angleterre a Leading Hotels of the World is it personalized service and great staff. With only 45 rooms they have a huge advantage compared to their competitors with 100-200 rooms. They can easily remember your name and that makes a difference. The location is excellent on the lake and beautiful from the room.
Overall recommended as a small hotel with high standards in Geneva. It’s very expensive, but that’s how all of Switzerland is.
My opinion: Great experience.
