Hermitage Bay

Hermitage Bay is the most expensive hotel in Antigua and offers a all-inclusve experience of the very highest quality.

Hermitage Bay isn’t a member of any marketing organization and that surprised me when I found out they had the highest rates on the island. I was however, very exicited to explore the resort and arrived with high expectations because of the rates charged. The welcome was very nice with a friendly receptionist offering me a nice welcome drink before being escorted to the villa.

I stayed in a Beachfront Suite Villa which had a very nice moden design. It’s their lowest category of suites, but very big and didn’t disappoint. The welcome amenities were very nice and included champagne. The products in the bathroom was the same high quality products as you can find in Mandarin Oriental hotels.

All-inclusive hotels usually disappoints me, but Hermitage Bay delivered great food and service in the restaurant which you would expect for the rates paid, even in The Caribbean which in general is very expensive. The service was great after The Caribbean standards, it’s very far from Asian hospitality, but if you have been to The Caribbean before you would know that already. The staff was very friendly all around and like most places in The Caribbean very talkactive.

Overall a lovely resort. It’s very expensive, but it’s an all-inclusive concept that delivers. Great food, service and villas in a beautiful, relaxing island.

My opinion: Great experience.
