I arrived in Four Seasons Shanghai with expectations of Four Seasons quality. It is, but it’s not one of their top properties. The front desk doesn’t escort guests to the room if the hotel is busy. In my opinion, it’s a must to escort every guest to the room, especially if you are a Four Seasons hotel. I stayed in a deluxe room, and it was nothing special, but a standard Four Seasons room with the necessary features. There was a welcome card from the general manager and fruits as standard in Four Seasons hotels.
The hotel offers good service, but only just meet the expectations of a Four Seasons. The facilities is good, and the spa has recently gone through renovations. Overall recommended, but it’s far from my favourite Shanghai hotel. I think they charge too much for what you get, but it’s a Four Seasons and I’m sure it will improve so it again can be the best as Four Seasons wants to be wherever they are.
My opinion: Good+ experience.
