Introduction: Evason Hua Hin is located in the peaceful area of Pranburi to the south of Hua Hin Township and provides calming views of the Gulf of Siam. The resort is set amongst 20-acres of landscaped lush tropical gardens with lotus ponds. King Rama VI built a palace in Hua Hin in 1926 and it remains the Thai Royal Summer Palace to this day.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My arrival experience: Warm welcome with drink and towel before being escorted to the room.
What I loved: The Six Senses standards and DNA all over this resort. Despite being big and quite cheap, it is a wonderful experence. I love the Six Senses design, attention to details and the staff. Wonderful experience and some of the best value in the world, especially in the summer.
What about the food: Great Italian restaurant for dinner with imported ingredients. Attentive service as well. The breakfast buffet is very good and with many impressive details. The General Manager managed Soneva Fushi in the past and I was surprised to see such high quality at a resort with rates as low as this one.
What about the service: Truly great and attentive service from well-trained staff. They went out of their way to help me with my requests during my stay.
What about the rooms: Lovely minimalistic rooms with Six Senses standards. I stayed in a pool villa and even after 1,000+ luxury resorts, I was amazed. Beautiful design everywhere, with attention to details and fully up to the standards of resorts with 10 times the rates as this one. The natural bathroom amenities and ultra comfortable bed made the room just perfect and I was sad to leave the following morning.
Number of rooms: 185.
Type of property: Resort.
Location: 30 minutes from central Hua Hin. The resort operates a shuttle three times a day.
Facilities: Swimming pool, gym and a beautiful Six Senses spa.
Complimentary internet: Yes, medium speed. Just enough for YouTube and Skype.
My overall impression: Great+ experience. Would probably be “fantastic” if all guests could stay in the same pool villa as me. The standard room called Evason Room is still lovely with the minimalistic design, but is small and only has a standalone shower. That being said, even if you book the Evason Room, you will have a truly wonderful experience at this resort.
