Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.

Below is my experience based on a two-night stay at the property.

My arrival experience: Warm welcome with a drink and towel before being escorted to the room.

What about the food: Very good Thai food, while their sister resort, Banyan Tree down the road unfortunately have bad Western food. I would go all in on Thai food staying at their resorts. The breakfast buffet was lacking high quality items, but has a large selection of food.

What about the service: Very good service and professional front desk.

What about the rooms: Contemporary rooms with comfortable beds, shower in the bathtub and beautiful sea views from the balcony.

Number of rooms: 401

Type of property: Resort.

Location: Phuket, Thailand.

Facilities: Swimming pool, gym and a beautiful spa of Banyan Tree quality. I had a great treatment with welcome drink, choice of oil and excellent service. Really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Complimentary internet: Yes.

My overall impression: Good+ experience. Angsana is part of the Banyan Tree family and with 401 rooms it is certainly a different kind of experience than Banyan Tree. Less personalized and more family oriented, but with many of the same standards and a very nice design. Ranking it as Good+ is fair.
