Al Qasr At Madinat Jumeirah Hotel Dubai

Al Qasr At Madinat Jumeirah Hotel Dubai is an Arabic themed hotel and after many wonderful experiences with the Jumeirah brand in the past I arrived excited to see how good this hotel would be. The first impression is the old architectural Arabic style which is completely different from the other Jumeirah hotels I’ve stayed in the past.

The check in was great with a warm welcome and lots of information from the receptionist before being escorted to the room. Al Qasr has 292 rooms rooms and I stayed in a Luxury Room. It featured comfortable bed, flatscreen Tv, working desk, sitting area and beautiful views of the sea and Burj Al Arab. The bathroom had a large bathtub and a lovely rainshower. It was also the first of my over 700 hotels to have products specifically for women and men, exactly like the public transport in UAE is the only country I’ve been with separate section for women. My only problem with the room was the fact that there was no plug inn within reach of the bed.

All guests at Al Qasr gets complimentary access to Wild Wadi Waterpark which is worth to note as a value point. The complex also features a traditional souk Madinat with more than 95 shops. Some resorts lacks facilities and activities, but not in Al Qasr. A big spa complex with large gym and indoor swimming pool and several activities making it hard to have a boring time here.

The food is always hit and miss in resorts. In Dubai I have generally been very satisfied with the food level and Al Qasr was no exception. It was truly great as I had both lunch and breakfast in the hotel. At breakfast you can really feel the hotel is big and service can therefore be a little slow. That would also be my only problem with the hotel. It’s too big for my personal taste, but it’s great for what it is.

The bottom line is that Al Qasr At Madinat Jumeirah offers a unique, different local experience, but also with a very corporate feel to it. It’s well-managed and certainly a great experience.

My opinion: Great experience.
